    A character with no character

It was a long election season this year, and Donald J. Trump has emerged victorious as the 45th President of the United States of America.
He has also become the new face of white supremacy and theposter child for corporate special interests. This election was a disgraceful battle with race, misogyny and xenophobia at center stage. He used his platform to stoke white fear in Middle America and to fan the flames of racial, religious and sexual bigotry within our country.
The only consistent thing about Trump is that he is consistently inconsistent. But if the tone of his campaign is any indicator, we should expect Trump to push a radical Republican agenda that will negatively affect large populations of Americans and potentially the whole world.
America is supposedly living in a colorblind and inclusive society where race, gender and religious belief are no longer issues. But nobody has made this fallacy more apparent than Donald Trump.
Since announcing his run for president this election cycle, he has managed to offend everybody from women, Muslims, politicians, media personalities, to the CIA, often engaging in childish Twitter wars and personal attacks.
The record-breaking turn out at the Women’s March, that immediately followed the Presidential Inauguration, which was in essence, an anti-Trump rally, shows that a significant percentage of Americans as well as the world abroad has major concerns about the personal character and integrity of Trump.
Having already further alienated the CIA with his recent incoherent speech at Langley, signing an executive order that limits Obamacare with no solid plan to replace it, and signing the order to continue the construction of the North Dakota Pipeline, it seems as if Trump is wasting no time.
But we shall see if he can truly live up to his shameful campaign and prove to his constituency that they in fact did vote against their best interests and the best interests of the world.
