Students cast their ballots April 8–9 on the Quad, stating their preferences in ASLC officers and senators for the 2014–2015 school year. The election was certified on April 10.
Incumbent President Carl Oliver was elected to a second term; Rose Gelin edged out Crystal Perez by the scant margin of 18 votes to win the vice-presidency. Gelin and Perez were vying for the seat vacated by current Vice-President Sarah Park.
Though Proposition 1 succeeded, results will need to meet with California state education code, which states voter turnout must meet or exceed the previous three elections in order for the fee to be imposed.
