In a special meeting on Friday, October 15th the Peralta Community College District Board of Trustees voted unanimously  in closed session to extend the appointment agreement of Dr. Jannett Jackson as Interim Chancellor through December 2023. Board Vice-President Nicky Gonzalez Yuen said that the Board is excited to continue Jackson’s hard work and positive improvements in the district. Interim chancellor  Jackson’s contract amendment will be agendized for the next regular board meeting on Tuesday, October 26 at 6pm.
